I live within my own means!
This is the main response to the protests going on at Wall Street currently. “I live within my own means, I work my ass off for every penny I get, and I’m happy where I am, I do NOT want to blame my economic/financial issues on those who are on Wallstreet.” Well, I’m sorry to wake you up from the stupidity you’ve been covering your eyes with.
The people on Wallstreet have EVERY DAMN BIT to do with you, whether you acknowledge it or not. These are the people who drove the economy to the brink in 2008. These are the people who continue to scam people into their “deals” and make all of their money off of scamming the actually-working common people. The response to this, “Well, those people shouldn’t have been so stupid as to trust those people.”
That’s the same thing as not punishing a murderer just because their targets aren’t like you. Just because you may not be targetted directly by the murderer, does that mean your parents, siblings, friends, that they can’t and won’t be targetted? No, it doesn’t. Wake up, people. If you seriously believe that you “live within your own means”, you are insane. We are ALL part of the system that is America. I am sixteen years old, and even I can realize that this is a problem. Wake the hell up.
